Dr. Ashraf passed all in first attempt, the ECFMG examination in January 1973; VQE (Visa Qualifying Examination) in November1978; FLEX (Federal Licensing Examination)in February 1979 with grades that qualified him for license in all 50 states according to then criteria of grades; and was certified in Anatomic Pathology of The American Board Pathology.
He was admitted as Fellow of the American Society of Pathology and of the College of American Pathologists in 1983.

He was instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support under American Heart Association.
